
TONY FORRESTAL TOURNAMENT 2002
Laois U-14 hurlers are in action this
weekend in Waterford City when they make the annual trip to the
Tony Forrestal Tournament which showcases the cream of under 14
hurling talent Ireland has to offer. Laois are currently Division
2 champions and so this year they step up to the Division 1 grade
which has ten teams taking part this year.
Laois are placed in group 3 of Division 1 and here they will play Clare and Dublin. Should Laois win this group they will progress to the semi-final where they will be playing the top team from a group comprising Cork, Galway and Kilkenny. The other finalist will be the top team from Limerick, Tipperary, Wexford and Waterford.

weekend in County Tipperary when they face the cream of U-16
talent in the Arabawn CO-OP Tournament. This annual tournament
has been running for some time now.
